I’m a special effects and prosthetics artist based in Liverpool, creating horror props, silicone body parts, medical effects, and realistic injuries. I’m especially interested in the uncomfortable side of realism, the things that make people stare for a second too long.

My work sits between practical effects, horror, and art, with a focus on texture, realism, and handmade detail.

Hello! My name is Frankie, and I’m the owner of SpaceCatz SFX. I create silicone prosthetics and art using life-casting techniques, as well as my own sculpted moulds. My work explores unusual creatures, anatomy, and surreal forms.

I also make my own moulds and sculpt my prosthetics by hand. I’m currently learning more about prosthetic application too, so here’s a little gallery of part of my process, from silicone and Baldiez casting, to application and painting.
